Opening the rear hatch slowly he seized the handle of the rifle’s hard shell case with his right hand and grabbed the ghillie suit with his left. He tossed it in the air slightly, catching it around where the waistline must be in order to drape it evenly over his left arm. He had no intention of wearing the suit this time, but with the twigs, leaves and moss he had added to its green-based camouflage netting, it would definitely help to make the black case invisible. He was on a mission. Having scoped this area out the day before, he was preparing a sniper’s ‘hide’ – a place from which to operate without being detected. He planned to take her out with a single silenced shot and disappear before anyone could react." |
